Blooming Prairie Bean
Blooming Prairie Bean
BLOOMING PRAIRIE BUSH BEAN
Phaseolus vulgaris
ORGANIC
Really delicious purple filet beans set in abundance on dwarf bush plants that send out short runners. Beautiful dark pink edible flowers on burgundy stems. Early and productive. Suitable for cool wet climates. One of the most ornamental of bush beans.
Dual purpose. The small dried beans are white with an elegant lilac purple blush and have a wonderful creamy texture and great flavor when cooked. One of the many beans bred by Robert Lobitz in Minnesota.
Beans should be sown directly into the garden once soil has warmed to at least 65°F. These seeds are especially tolerant of chilly wet soils. Plants will hold themselves upright if sown close, but are best with a little support. Sticks are sufficient.
Packet contains around 50 seeds.
