Oh my gosh, these beautiful beets. Boldor is a recently introduced open-pollinated variety that looks and performs like a hybrid. Seeds germinate rapidly, and round yellow-orange roots size up quickly. Greens are tender and attractive. Ready to harvest in about 55 days from sowing. Suitable for both spring and autumn crops.

Seeds can be started indoors in flats several weeks before the last frost or sown outdoors once soil has warmed to at least 50F. Can be sown all summer until about 6 weeks before the first frost in autumn.

Roasted, cooled and cubed Boldor beets are highly recommended for summer salads with red onions, raspberry vinaigrette and feta cheese.
