GOLDEN SWEET SNOW PEA SEEDS

A very unique and delicate snow pea, originally collected from a market in India. Translucent yellow pods are excellent stir-fried or as crudités. The pretty purple blossoms have delicate pea flavor and are an elegant addition to early spring salads. More tolerant of heat than Sugar Snap peas.

This variety is especially fun for those gardeners wishing to try their hand at breeding; crossing these peas with purple-podded peas (such as Sugar Magnolia or Blauwschokkers) will produce red-podded peas!!

Tall vines require a trellis. Sow seeds about 1" deep as soon as soil can be worked in spring. If soil is especially cold, you might consider sprouting the seeds indoors before planting in the garden. Productive. First pods in about 50 days from sowing.
