RED FEATHERLEAF CELERY

Bred and selected by Frank Morton at Wild Garden Seeds. An improvement of their popular Redpar cutting celery, itself a cross of Redventure and ‘Parcel', which is just a traditional name for the rustic wild celery that we now call “cutting celery", and which Europeans tend to call “soup celery". This type of celery is much easier to grow in gardens and more flavorful than the celery found at the grocery store.

Tender stems and intense aromatic flavor. May be sown and grown in a container with ease. Broad shallow containers can host several plants. Harvest by the handful as you would parsley or cilantro. Chop tender stems for soup and salad. New to us, so we cannot attest to just how red these plants may be. If you want to grow a cutting celery for color, consider Chinese Pink.
