ORGANIC

Commonly known as Fireweed, this unique and ornamental circumboreal species quickly colonizes burned and mechanically cleared landscapes. Extractives of Willowherb exhibit a broad spectrum of pharmacological effects in clinical studies. Widely used to treat gastrointestinal ailments as well as prostate dysfunction and incontinence. Topical preparations are powerfully anti-inflammatory. Historically used by Native Americans as a foodstuff and sweetener. Fermented leaves are used to brew the infamous Ivan Chai in Russia. Edible flowers contain copious sweet nectar and are made into jelly in Yukon, Canada.
