PINK BERKELEY TIE DYE TOMATO SEEDS

Solanum lycopersicum

ORGANIC

Tomato breeding is big business. There are more newly bred open-pollinated tomato varieties on the market than I can keep up with. Few that I've had stand up to the flavor of tried and true heirlooms, but Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye does AND it is easily grown in less-than-ideal conditions!

Bred by Brad Gates in Napa, California, these tomatoes are unbelievably early for their size, setting big striped slicers on tidy indeterminate vines around 70 days from transplant, even in cool wet weather. Flavor is reliably excellent here in the Hudson Valley. Highly recommended to those in cool maritime climates and those with very short or unpredictable seasons. Great for hot humid regions as well, but take care to harvest fruits as soon as they are ripe because they will not hold on the vine for long.

Packet contains at least 20 seeds.
