TRINIDAD PERFUME SEEDS

Capsicum chinense

Incredibly fragrant yellow seasoning pepper. Looks like a super hot but is instead completely sweet with virtually no heat. Excellent flavor when fresh, but especially delicious and fragrant when used in cooked sauces, curries and soups. Very productive once they get going. Compact plants are suitable for containers.

Slow-growing initially and fairly late to fruit where summer nights are chilly. Growing in a deep black container on a sunny patio helps tremendously to mitigate the effects of cool maritime climates. Early and wildly productive in a hot summer or given full exposure and fertile soil on a hot patio.

Start seeds as early as possible, at least 10 weeks before the last frost. Seeds require heat (at least 80°F) and bright light to germinate. Young plants will be happy in a 4" pot for several weeks until transplanting outdoors into warm garden soil or a larger container in full sun.
