NICOTIANA LANGSDORFFII SEEDS
Nicotiana langsdorffii
An interesting little tobacco from South America. Tubular green flowers with bell ends are borne in abundance on bare 2'- 3' stems that are suitable for cutting. Fabulous in bouquets. Softens sunny informal borders and brightens shady corners.
Start seeds indoors with the tomatoes. Press tiny seeds into moist soil and mist carefully with warm water. Cover with plastic. Kept warm and moist in bright light seeds will germinate in a week or two. Once seedlings have true leaves, prick out to grow on in individual containers in bright light at warm room temperature. Harden off carefully before transplanting into warm garden soil after all danger of frost has passed.
Like all of the genus, this species loves sun and heat, but puts on the best show in part shade. Miraculously tolerates autumn frost. Makes a nice companion in the pepper garden. Will sometimes self-sow, but is not at all invasive.
Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. We will never be without these in a pot on the patio. Try tucking a few plants into a large container with a trellised Blue Butterfly Pea and Empress of India Nasturtiums!
Grown by Farmacie Isolde.
Packet contains at least 100 seeds.
