An easy and nutritious salad plant for all gardens. Flouncy leaves are a beautiful glowing golden green. Flavor is sweet, not funky. Grows like gangbusters. Especially nice for sowing into flats under lights in a cold barn or basement in the winter. Suitable for both salad and stir-fry.

Considered a selection of Chinese cabbage, the mature plants don't head like you might expect, but remain open and charmingly disheveled. We prefer to harvest them quite young, between four and six weeks after germination, although they will stand for much longer in cool weather without bolting. No matter when you choose to harvest, these seeds produce tons of food fast. Given fertile soil and lots of water they can be grown like other cut-and-come-again greens.
