An incredible selection of this statuesque deerproof American native. Huge clusters of fragrant rosey purple flowers on 5'-7' burgundy stems. Blooms in late summer through autumn. Attracts butterflies and other native pollinators.

THESE SEEDS DO NOT REQUIRE STRATIFICATION. Keep in a cool dry place until planting. Sow seeds onto moist soil, mist carefully, and cover with plastic to maintain moisture. Kept in bright light at warm room temperature, seeds will germinate within a week or two. Prick out seedlings with true leaves to grow on in individual deep pots at room temperature in bright light. Harden off before planting outdoors in spring or autumn. Slow growth initially but very long lived once established.

Impervious to deer. Tolerates drought although it prefers moist soils.
