The easiest Hungarian paprika pepper to grow in northern gardens. Reliably early to ripen, even in a cool short season. These seeds come to us from the great Triple Divide Seeds Cooperative in Montana. Boldog is a village in northern Hungary. This seems to be the same as or very similar to the pepper often sold as “Magyar", which is the word for “Hungarian" in Hungary.

Incredibly productive and relatively compact 2' plants with long pendulous pods that ripen to red in just 70 days or so. Selected for drying and grinding into rich fragrant sweet paprika. Just a few plants will produce more than enough paprika for a small family. Highly recommended for gardeners that want to grow and dry their own herbs and spices. No need for a dehydrator as they are easily dried in an oven set to around 170°F.
