Large fragrant white flowers unfurl magically in the evening and often stay open through the morning hours on cloudy days. Fragrance wafts an impressive distance on hot humid nights. Plants love heat but foliage will wilt in full sun in the hottest climates. Best with morning sun and afternoon shade. Attracts moths and other interesting crepuscular and nocturnal insect species.

Start indoors 4 weeks before transplanting into warm soil outdoors. Nick and soak seeds overnight in warm water before sowing. Vigorous climber to 20'. Day length sensitive; flowering begins in earnest in late summer in most northern gardens.
